Wodonga - SPS - No.2 Sewer Rising Main Extension - D&C

North East Water has completed a functional design that will be issued as part of an RfT to the open market seeking to engage a Principal Contractor under a design and construct contract to deliver this project.

The alignment of the new Rising Main will be along the Church Street, Reuss Road (Sumsion Gardens), Dick Street, crossing House Creek and into Wodonga Rendering (meat works) and finishing inside at SPS no.1 Site located at Forrest Mars Avenue (Wodonga).

• Rising main size, system curve, both static and dynamic head (total head) i.e. Hydraulic Assessment and Surge Analysis, supply, delivery, unloading, temporary storage, installation/construction, testing & commissioning of all Rising Main pipework and fittings.

• Rising main from existing SPS No.2 rising main (DN250 uPVC) connection point at the corner/intersection of Church Street and Wodonga Street in Wodonga to existing SPS No.1 site with (approximately 2000m of OD450 DN375 PN16 HDPE - to be finalised during the Design stage).

• Includes open trench and trenchless construction under protected trees and vegetation areas.

• Associated air valves, scour points, pump-out points, isolation valves and thrust blocks.

• New discharge manhole at the SPS No.1 site and to be connected with existing sewer manhole.

• Gravity sewer from new discharge Manhole to existing sewer manhole at SPS No.1 site.

• Uninterrupted flow management during construction of the connection to the existing rising main.

• Reinstatement of the existing rising main with 3-way valve arrangement; to be used as emergency by-pass and refurbish the existing discharge Manhole
