The Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) oversees the production of the teacher resources for National Science Week each year. This is a part of an arrangement ASTA has with the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, to provide grants and resources to schools for National Science Week. These resources include our annual teacher resource book, student journal and poster.
To encourage and assist schools and teachers to engage students with the theme for National Science Week, ASTA is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals or organisations to research and write ASTA’s 2026 National Science Week Resource Book for Teachers and A5 student journal in line with the current science teaching curriculum.
The writer is expected to collaborate directly with a designer on a single contract. It is crucial for ASTA that the publication is well-written, thoroughly researched, teacher-friendly, and closely aligned with the curriculum.
