The Northern Grampians Shire is located in Central West Victoria, and covers an area of 5,918 square kilometres. It borders the Grampians National Park, Wimmera Plains (west), Mallee Plains (north) and the Pyrenees Region (east). The major Towns and Villages are Stawell, St Arnaud, Great Western, Halls Gap, Glenorchy, Navarre, Marnoo, Stuart Mill.

Council’s Infrastructure department is responsible for maintaining all Council managed infrastructure including approximately 3408 kms of local roads, bridges, footpaths, stormwater drainage and other ancillary assets.

Northern Grampians Shire Council invites tenders for the assessment of the condition of its roads, carparks, footpaths and kerb & channel assets. The Council’s detailed requirements are set out in Part 3 (Specification).
