Supply & Delivery of 2 x 10M3 Tip Trucks

1. Tenders:

The trucks shall be a 6 x 4 tandem axle drive, minimum power of 300 kW, fitted with Hardox 450 Light Weight steel body.

2. Delivery:

Delivery of the unit shall be made to the Operations Centre, Ridge Street, Wedderburn and all costs of delivery shall be borne by the Tenderer. The Tenderer shall provide at their own cost an experienced operator for an appropriate period to acquaint Council's operator and mechanic with the operation and maintenance of the truck.

A realistic date of delivery (from receipt of official purchase order) shall be indicated in the Tender.

3. Service and Warranty:

Tenderers shall include in their Tender: -

•  All conditions relating to after sale service and warranty.
•  The location of service providers.
•  The location and details of spare parts providers.

4. Specific Features Required: -

(a) Diesel powered engine of minimum 425HP - 300 kW with manual transmission or full automatic no AMT’s

(b) Aluminium Fuel tank(s) of minimum capacity 400 litres.

(c) Spare wheel and tyre.

(d) Truck to be fitted with an air cushioned Pintle Hook towing coupling and trailer couplings.

(e) The preferred colour of the vehicle is white.

(f) An appropriate fire extinguisher shall be provided and fitted inside the cabin.

(g) The unit shall comply with all relevant State Acts and Regulations.

(h) Hydraulic pump, suitable for operation of a hoist. Hoist controls fitted should have the facility to hold any given position on the hoists.

(i) Truck to be fitted with Hardox 450 Light Weight steel body, including; fully covered retractable tarp (non mesh), a grain door, folding ladder, shovel holder and three way tailgate with hinge latch operatable from the ground.

(j) Dual individually replaceable LED tail lights.

(k) Large tool box with double latches and bottom draw, to be installed between the cab and tipper body.(tool box to be the width of the cab approx. 2m wide x 900mm high 600mm deep)

(l) Supply 24volt 50amp Anderson plug to charge trailer batteries fitted rear of the truck.

(m) Drivers seat to be a fully adjustable with air suspension and 3 point integral seat belt.

(n) Two amber rotating beacons fitted to roof of the vehicle

(o) Supply and fit UHF in cabin

(p) Not less than one copy of the following manuals (Books / CD / DVD) shall be supplied with the truck updated to suit the unit supplied.

ii. Workshop Manual

5. Registration:

The Tenderer shall be required to register the trucks for Municipal purposes prior to delivery to Council. Fleet expiry date is June 30. The cost of registration and Stamp Duty shall be shown separately on invoice to Council.

6. General information:

Tenderers shall provide full and comprehensive information with respect to the following items: -

• Full details of the unit offered shall be shown and listed including brochures, graphs of characteristics and any other information deemed appropriate.
