Register of Prequalified Suppliers (ROPS) Vegetation Clearing and Associated Services

⁠⁠⁠Banana Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for appointment as a pre-qualified supplier of vegetation clearing and other associated services throughout the Shire as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope and Technical Specifications. Prequalified supplier status will be awarded for a period of 1 year with a possible 6-month extension.

The Works Under the Contract (WUC) are to be located with the Banana Shire Area.

The scope of this tender is for the intermittent short or long term hire under Council supervision, unless otherwise agreed, of vegetation management staff for the clearing/maintenance of vegetation on Council owned/managed land. Activities under this tender may include, but not be limited to, the maintenance of clearances under low voltage overhead powerlines and house lead-in wires, clearing around lighting (typically street lighting, security lighting, floodlighting and car park lighting), along property boundaries and kerb line. Other activities are the removal of dead wood and selective branches, crown thinning, crown thinning, stump grinding, root chasing and the installation of root barriers.

The work areas for these activities have been broken up geographically over the following areas:

• Biloela, Jambin and surrounds

• Baralaba, Wowan, Dululu and surrounds

• Taroom and surrounds

• Theodore, Moura and surrounds
