This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The my health App (App) is a native mobile app that provides Users with seamless access to their healthcare information via the My Health Record system. The App is central to the National Digital Health Strategy, supporting the Agency’s mission of enhancing patient engagement and promoting the highest standards of clinical quality and safety. By allowing Users to access their personal health data anytime and anywhere, the App empowers consumers to take control of their healthcare information, facilitating better health outcomes and more informed health decisions.
Since its initial development, the App has undergone continuous improvements, with new features added over time to enhance the user experience and adapt to evolving healthcare needs.
The App supports mobile and tablet view on mobile devices operated over android or iOS operating systems. Refer to the baseline documents provided at Appendix B, for details on the current requirements met by the App.
To ensure the App continues to operate at optimal performance levels, it requires ongoing operational support. These services, for which the current engagement expires February 2026, have been critical in maintaining the App’s performance, ensuring its security, and enabling continuous enhancements that align with User expectations and technological advancements.
Purpose
The purpose of this RFQ is to secure a Provider who will provide ongoing development and operational support for the App. This support includes routine maintenance, incident management, and the implementation of enhancements to ensure the App continues to meet the needs of healthcare consumers, while adhering to government policies and compliance standards.
The Provider will be required to deliver services that include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining new features, enhancements and supporting developments for the App across iOS, iPadOS, and Android platforms.
- Providing ongoing bug fixes and ensuring the management of intellectual property, including ownership and maintenance of source code.
- Supporting the digital infrastructure for the continuous operation and scalability of the App; and
- Conducting a comprehensive suite of tests in the app environments, ensuring that all baseline requirements referred in Appendix B are fully validated and verified.
The proposed contract term for this engagement is 12 months with the option of a single 12-month extension. Any extension options are at the sole discretion of the Agency.
It is a condition of engagement that proposed personnel be based in Australia and use the Buyer’s provisioned equipment and resources to work remotely when directed by the Buyer. Given the Providers proposed personnel will be working remotely, the Buyer will not accept additional expenses incurred for remote work.
