Strathbogie Shire Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractor to fulfil Contract 25-26-18 - Bridges and culverts condition inspections and valuation.

Council is required to undertake periodic condition inspection of its bridges and culverts to obtain data for its asset management system and meet its obligations under its Road Management Plan. Collected condition data is required to determine financial valuations, prepare bridge and culvert renewal programs and to identify structure maintenance needs.

This project comprises inspection and assessing the condition of all known footbridges, and local road bridges and major and minor culverts. It also involves determination of design and remaining lives and associated valuations. It does not include bridges or culverts on the arterial road network managed by the Department of Transport. Inspections are required to be conducted in accordance with the Victorian Department of Transport ‘Road Structures Inspection Manual 2022. Inspections must be conducted by Level 2 inspectors who are prequalified in accordance with the requirements of the DoT/VicRoads Prequalification Scheme.

The Contractor is invited to Tender on all requirements and works as set out in the Specification document and associated Annexure’s located under the Documents TAB for this project.

Tenders can be only lodged on-line through the Tendersearch portal. Please note Strathbogie Shire Council no longer accepts hardcopy tenders and will not accept tenders by fax or email.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS:

Contract 25-26-18 - Bridges and culverts condition inspections and valuation is a Lump Sum Contract. Strathbogie Shire Council advises that failure to supply a lump sum price in Schedule 1 will result in your tender not being evaluated.

All Tender Schedules must be completed in order for the submission to be evaluated.

You must allow sufficient time to upload your submission prior to the 4pm deadline. We suggest you familiarise yourself with the online form and uploading options via the RESPONSE tab.

Late submissions in any format will not be accepted. If you are midway through your submission and the clock hits 4:00pm your submission will not be accepted, and you will be unable to continue.
