Towong Shire is commissioning an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artwork with a licence to reproduce the image. The artwork will be used for a range of publications including the Towong Shire Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan, email signatures, and signage. The licence will run for up to five years.

Concept and Creative Brief

Artwork is sought from experienced First Nations artists in 2D practices such as painting, graphic design, digital art or drawing. Colours can be varied but should incorporate light and dark blue to reflect the Towong Shire logo.

The artwork should reflect:

The spirit of reconciliation throughout the Towong Region as outlined in the vision statement.

The Vision Statement:

A community that recognises the immense contribution of our First Nations peoples. A place of shared responsibility for our future, whilst recognising our past. A united community that lives its true reconciliation through its words and actions, giving our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities a deep sense of place.

Our Shire is on a journey of understanding First Nations languages, stories and cultural knowledges. Throughout this process we hope to cultivate respect and understanding, whilst celebrating the wisdom and strength that our First Nations peoples have carried through millennia.
