This procurement aims to establish a contract that delivers value for money to Gwydir Shire Council through the provision of plant hire and associated services.

Council invites Tenders from suitably qualified Tenderers offering:

• Wet Hire – Plant and equipment with an operator
• Dry Hire – Plant and equipment only
• Civil Services – A range of construction and maintenance services

Minimum standards and requirements apply to all plant, equipment, and operators, as detailed in the supporting documentation. The contract will establish a Panel of approved Contractors available to provide services across various locations within the Gwydir Shire. Inclusion on the Panel does not guarantee any minimum allocation of work to a Tenderer.

The contract term will be 1 September 2025 to 30 August 2026, with up to three (3) optional extensions of twelve (12) months each. Rates are to be fixed for the initial 12-month period. For any approved extensions, Contractors may submit revised rates annually. All prices must be in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST, and based on a schedule of rates for wet hire, dry hire, and specified services.

All information requested in the Tender Schedules must be submitted with the Tender. Tenderers must demonstrate prior experience in plant hire and/or the provision of relevant civil services and provide references and evidence of their capacity to meet the Scope of Works.

Council reserves the right to issue further Requests for Tender (RFTs) during the Panel term to add additional Contractors. Any new Tenderers must comply with the same terms, conditions, and evaluation criteria as this RFT.
