The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking Offers from suitably experienced and qualified designers (the ‘Consultant’) for the provision of Intelligent Transport Systems & Electrical (ITS & E) design services for the Camera Detected Offence Program (CDOP, the ‘Program’).
The aim of this Consultants for Engineering Projects (CFEP) procurement process is to establish a panel of designers for an initial period of three (3) years with two (2) by two (2) discretionary extension options, with panel participants to be invited to submit design pricing via a Request for Quote (RFQ).
Design Services may include:
i. Design of ITS & E systems, including site layouts, schematics and single line diagrams
ii. Design and modification of RPEQ-certified traffic signal plans as required
iii. RPEQ-certified Point to Point (P2P) ITS & E designs and associated civil requirements
iv. Vehicle monitoring system design
v. Design of Lighting Schemes in accordance with appropriate standards (if required)
vi. Provision of Issued for Construction (IFC) designs (CAD and PDF) with Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and clear, defined Scope of Works in accordance with Main Roads Specifications (MRS) and Main Roads Technical Specifications (MRTS)
vii. Provision of As Constructed Designs (CAD and PDF)
viii. Site inspection and verification of existing infrastructure, both above and underground, where required and applicable, including the submission of a detailed site report
ix. Provision of Design Report, risk assessment, Safety-in-Design report, engineering calculations and supplementary specifications (where required) at various stages / milestones
x. Rates and fees shall include attendance of prestart and milestone meetings with the Principal’s Delegate to address comments and feedback, resolve queries and coordinate submission of deliverables for each Work Package
xi. Liaison with Energy Queensland (EQ) to coordinate the provision of mains power and approvals for works on or near EQ assets
