Safety Link currently utilise a bespoke self-supported system to manage the workflows of the business including emergency monitoring, customer relationship management and other ancillary services associated with running the business.

The current suite of monitoring applications used by Safety Link is a proprietary version of Access Detection System for Windows (ADSW). This system was purchased and implemented in 2004 and has been heavily modified to suit the ever- growing environment since It is fully maintained by Safety Link IT staff and has no support agreement with the original vendor (or any vendor), nor would a vendor take up an agreement to do so due to its heavily modified functionality and age.

The ADSW software is end of life and requires replacement. It has become outdated and requires extensive maintenance and support and is impacting significantly on workflow issues, now serving a major risk to service delivery.

It is anticipated that an off-the-shelf solution could be used to manage core business functionality to provide a robust central monitoring package with the ability to add on such functions as customer relationship management and inventory management, extensive reporting options and access over multiple sites to enable a hybrid working model in the future. Replacement of this system will align with transition of the billing processes across to the GH Finance systems.
