Redland City Council is seeking Tenders for the collection, transport and recycling of Scrap Tyres from Redland City Council Recycling and Waste Centres (RaWC’s) including their two Mainland sites and six Island Sites.

Redland City Council (Council) receives scrap tyres from residential and commercial customers at Council’s mainland and island Recycling and Waste Centres (RaWCs).

Council, therefore, requires a suitable supplier to provide weekly services for the collection, transport and recycling of scrap tyres to its mainland RaWCs, and ‘as required’ services to the island RaWCs. The scope of this procurement will include:

• removing Scrap Tyres in an unprocessed state, and safely transporting all collected material for beneficial reuse at a facility or facilities fully compliant with all legislative and environmental requirements;

• providing services on a weekly basis to the Birkdale RaWC and Redland Bay RaWC; and

• providing ‘as required’ services to the Island RaWCs in accordance with requests from Council and/or Council’s contractor for the Island Sites.
