Tenders are invited for the Supply and Delivery of one (1) only Multi Purpose Road Maintenance Unit.

Towong Shire is positioned in far north-eastern Victoria and is home to around 6,000 residents and many more visitors across an area of 6,600 square kilometres. The economy of the region revolves around a rich agricultural sector, tourism and timber production and processing.

The proposed unit will be located at Councils' Tallangatta depot situated approx 45km east of Wodonga.

The following requirements as listed below are to be considered and included in the final quote.

Tenders shall include comprehensive details of the cab chassis and compaction bodies being offered including specifications and brochures

Any alternate or additional specification requirements beyond those in this specification document that the tenderer believes may provide improved effectiveness, efficiency or safety to Council should be included with the tender as options

Training

-Tenderers shall propose a delivery schedule for the total asset. Council is to be offered the option of pre-delivery inspection

-Operation and maintenance training for Council’s Drivers and Maintenance staff is required to be arranged at a mutually agreeable time shortly after delivery of completed unit. The training shall include 2-4 employees. Respondents are to supply details of training to be offered

Service and Support

-Tenderers must provide a complete list of parts for the machine. In addition Respondents must state the location of their parts facility nearest to Council’s Depot and also indicate what assurances can be given as to minimise delay in supply of any part not stocked at that location.

- Complete details of warranty offered on the cab chassis and truck unit bodies tendered shall be stated. A minimum of (24) months is required

-Tenders shall indicate what field service facilities are available for warranty or for any subsequent dealer service which Council may wish to utilise within its area

-Tenders shall supply full scheduled servicing costs for the life of the asset (10 years)
