In 2021, the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety provided Australia with the unique opportunity to male positive, lasting changes to aged care that deliver safety, dignity and respect for older people. In 2024-2025 financial year, the Australian Government has committed to continuing to deliver a number of aged care reforms in response to the Royal Commission recommendations.

The Aged Care Gateway (ACG) is a collection of sub-systems that provide the infrastructure, applications and interfaces to connect ageing Australian citizens (or their representatives), service providers and assessors to their respective services.

There is a strong focus by the department in securing the ACG to protect the sensitive information of Australia's most vulnerable citizens, both in its current form and as it undergoes significant changes to deliver reforms in accordance with the Royal Commission recommendations.

The Department is seeking a partner that can provide penetration testing deliverables for the Aged Care Gateway as per the Statement of Requirements.
