TasNetworks is seeking submissions for the provision of Insulated Elevated Work Platform Panel for TasNetworks. Further details are provided in the attached RFT document pack, please review all documents in the pack starting with the RFP Overview Document.

Ensure in your submission you address all the requirements listed in the RFT Response Schedule and Technical Standards, which are included in the document pack, along with any other supporting documentation.

Scope: 

TasNetworks currently have 50 Mobile Insulated EWP’s in our fleet that vary from 13m to 18m. Over the next 5 years we have up to 14 platforms that will be required to be replaced with various manufactures to suit the needs dependant on the location and team operating the EWP.

TasNetworks will review each of the required EWP to be replaced to send out detailed requirements and specifications to be required for that build to quote for the supply and build of the Mobile Elevated Work Platform.

The Truck Chassis will be supplied and delivered to the nominated premises of the provider by TasNetworks.

Fully insulative EWP’s Compliant with AS/NZS 1418.10:2025

TasNetworks are seeking detailed information and technical specs on the below;

• All available working heights (up to 18m)

• Detailed specification and capability of boom articulation;

• Upper
• Lower
• Telescopic / Jib operation
• Inverted Knuckle

• Options on Buckets;

• Tool storage options in buckets
• Bucket capacity ( 1 or 2 person)
• Bucket articulation/rotation
• Stability of Boom / Bucket

• Maximum reach of bucket

• Height of bucket in stowed position

• Wet rating

• Hydraulic operation, open or closed circuit

• Detailed operation of the EWP, with an emphasis on the simplicity of the controls

• Emergency Decent operation

• Available operating deck space

• List of standard and optional Safety features

• Outrigger configuration

• Country of manufacture

TasNetworks is also seeking information on what new technologies are available to reduce our emissions, such as availability of Electric hydraulic over a PTO powered hydraulic systems.

Responses are requested in Excel, Word and Portable Document Format (PDF) and must be lodged in the electronic tender box set up for this RFT by the closing time 2:00pm AEDT Tuesday 26th August 2025. Please ensure to WinZip all the documents into one (1) WinZip file to upload your submission.
