Gooseponds Package

1. INTRODUCTION

Mackay Regional Council (the Principal) invites suitably qualified experienced Contractors to submit a Tender for three (3) Work Packages within Gooseponds Park (the Park), North Mackay which include footpath renewal, boundary fencing improvements and the replacement of the Malcomson Street North Mackay pedestrian bridge.

• Work Package 1 – Project No. 22360 – Gooseponds Footpath Renewal: Stage 1 and Stage 2
• Work Package 2 – Project No. 22470 – Gooseponds Boundary Fencing
• Work Package 3 – Project No. 51784 – Malcomson Street North Mackay Pedestrian Bridge replacement

The Principal intends to award the Contract in its entirety to a single Contractor. No division of the Scope will occur, and no Contractor Will have any claim arising from the Principal’s decision to award the Contract as a whole or not at all.

Contractors must submit a Tender covering all three Work Packages as described in Part 5 – Scope.

2. NATURE OF CONTRACT

The Contract Sum will be a Lump Sum with a priced Bill of Quantities (BOQ) as described in the General Conditions of Contract (refer to ‘Part 4 Contract’).

All rates and quantities are to be checked by Tenderer. Any discrepancies must be reported to the Principal during the tender advertising process (refer to Part 2 for how to lodge questions).

Quantities provided in the BOQ are only for the purpose of processing payment claims and any missed or quantity discrepancies will not be considered as a cause for Variations under the Contract.

3. TIMING

The Contract is proposed to commence on 07 April 2026 and must be completed by 28 August 2026
