Indigo Shire Council has recently completed and endorsed its 2025-2029 Council Plan. The Plan identifies the preparation of the Indigo Shire Settlement Strategy (the Strategy) as a key action to guide growth and development and shape its townships over the coming decades.

The project outputs include the preparation of a Discussion Paper, consultation with key stakeholders and the community, review of the Framework Plan for each township, neighbourhood character assessments, and a Final Strategy and Implementation Plan.

Importantly, the project outputs must be suitable to be implemented into the Indigo Planning Scheme through a Planning Scheme Amendment.
