This Request for Tender (RFT) is for the provision of Height Safety Services at the Melbourne Markets site in Epping, Victoria.

BGIS on behalf of Melbourne Market Authority (MMA), is seeking to engage the services of a professional organisation to manage roof & height safety system services at the Epping market site.

The services include the inspection of anchor points, static lines & harnesses.

The inspection shall be as per Australian Standards: AS1891, AS1657, AS4488 and/or any other applicable Australian Standards, OHS Act, Regulations & Code of Practice & Guidelines.

Additional : 

National Flower Centre

• To supply & install 205 metres of aluminium roof walkway system @ 1200mm wide
• To supply & install 1 x 6000mm section of aluminium guardrail to close off the fall edge at one end of walkway
• The existing roof access ladders do not comply with Australian Standards and have not been installed to manufacturer's specification
• To remove 2 x existing roof access ladders
• To supply & install 2 x RL23 aluminium rung type roof access ladders with landings and guarded roof access
• Install static lines running east to west along the northern and southern roof perimeters (2 lines total)
• To supply & install 35 metres of aluminium roof walkway system @ 1200mm wide
• To supply & install 150 metres of aluminium roof walkway system @ 1200mm wide
• To supply & install 36 metres of aluminium roof walkway system @ 600mm wide
• To supply & install 2 x 6000mm section of aluminium guardrail to close off the fall edge at each end of walkway to the southern roof
• The existing roof access ladders do not comply with Australian Standards and have not been installed to manufacturer's specification
• To remove 4 x existing roof access ladders
• To supply & install 2 x RL23 aluminium rung type roof access ladders with landings and guarded roof access
• To supply & install 2 x RL33 aluminium rung type roof access ladders with safety cages, landings and guarded roof access
• Install static lines running east to west along the northern and southern roof perimeters (2 lines total)

Warehouses 5, 6 & 7

• Supply and install 1 x additional static line to warehouses 5 & 6 roofs

Buyers Walk Building

• To provide a safe access system to enable access to gutters on upper roof sections from main roof areas -
• Supply & install 720 metres of raised level aluminium roof platform walkway, with guardrails to the one side
• Supply & install 246 metres of aluminium roof walkway
• Supply & install 6 x access steps to access raised platform walkways
• Supply & install static lines to span full length of roof perimeter edges
