Victorian Emergency Recovery Support Program Service Provider Register

The Department works to minimise the impact of emergencies on the health and wellbeing of communities and individuals, especially of Victorians who face greater risk in emergencies. It has specific roles and responsibilities under the State Emergency Management Plan including being the lead agency for Emergency Recovery Support Programs (ERSP).

These programs are subject to funding and are time-limited for emergencies as determined by the Victorian Government which may be eligible for cost-shared funding under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.

An Emergency Recovery Support Program (ERSP) focuses on working with impacted communities to support them to build their capacity to take ownership of their recovery journey, in a socially and culturally appropriate and safe manner. These are place-based and flexible programs designed with scalable offerings that are customisable to meet community needs and provide a proportional response to a major emergency event.

To support implementation efficacy of future ERSP the Department is establishing a Victorian Emergency Recovery Support Program Service Provider Register (the register) to contain pre-approved service providers that can be considered for engagement to deliver the Services as part of an ERSP for any future emergency event, where funded.

It is intended that the register will provide greater choice, flexibility and diversity of local service design and delivery and be used to customise ERSP to the needs of the impacted communities.
