Scope: Provision of White Swan Reservoir Dam Upgrade Services

The scope for the White Swan Dam Safety Upgrade Project includes works on both the main and subsidiary embankments. The main embankment is an approximately 40 m high zoned earth and rockfill dam. The subsidiary embankment is an approximately 20 m zoned earth and rockfill dam in the adjacent valley, west of the main embankment.

The principal items of Works to be completed under this contract are the following:

Main Embankment

The Works at the main embankment comprise the construction of a partial height chimney filter which will extend from the crest down to the top berm at EL 529.4 m AHD.

Subsidiary Embankment

The Works at the subsidiary embankment comprise the removal and then reconstruction of the top 3.5 m of the embankment. The thickening of the existing rock zone, extending this to the crest (making full height) and a new filter extending for the top 6 m of the embankment.
