Cairns Regional Council is seeking submissions and competitive rates from suitably qualified and experienced Supplier/s for the provision of gas cylinder decommissioning services, and refrigerant gas recovery services.

The Contract is divided into the following two portions:

A - Separable Portion 1 - Gas Cylinder Decommissioning

•  Option 1 - The Supplier shall return all empty LPG gas cylinders to the Principal's designated gas bottle skip at Portsmith Transfer Station;
•  Option 2 - The Supplier shall retain ownership of all empty LPG gas cylinders and may reuse or dispose of them at their discretion.

B - Separable Portion 2 - Refrigerant Gas Recovery Services

The Tenderer may submit a tender for one or both Separable Portions of the work. If submitting a tender for Separable Portion 1, the Tenderer may offer a proposal for Option 1, Option 2, or for both options.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission electronically, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Thursday 14 August 2025. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserves the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 120 days from the Closing Time.
