ABOUT THE TENDER

The new Julia Gillard Prime Ministerial Library (the Library) is a new venture which will be established in collaboration with the University of Adelaide, the National Archives of Australia, and the Hon. Julia Gillard AC.

The Hon. Julia Gillard AC was sworn in as the 27th Prime Minister of Australia, serving office from 2010 to 2013. She was previously a student at the University of Adelaide and now serves as an Honorary Professor, delivers her annual public lecture at the university, provides guest lectures and hosts interns from the university in her office each year. The University of Adelaide, the National Archives of Australia, and the Hon. Julia Gillard AC signed a memorandum of understanding in October 2024 to establish the Julia Gillard Prime Ministerial Library on the University's North Terrace campus. It was announced the initiative will allow documents from Ms. Gillard's career and tenure as Prime Minister to be accessible to the public.2 The location for the new Julia Gillard Prime Ministerial Library has been identified as the Hartley Building.

The outcome of this project is to delivery the Julia Gillard Prime Ministerial Library in the Hartley building including base building upgrades and fit out works. This project scope includes full phase consultancy services.
