Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) would like to invite you to submit a response encompassing the services required to undertake and successfully complete the above service as detailed in the attached tender documentation.

Scope: 

The scope of the services to be supplied under this RFT is to include, but without limitation, Supply and installation of mulch and installation (only) of plants (to be provided by SMCT) at St Kilda Cemetery.

Ideally, a single Tenderer is preferred, but all service options are being considered. SMCT reserves the right to award all or part to these services to one or several suppliers at its sole discretion.

PROJECT SCOPE

The project will consist of two primary activities:

1. The Supply and installation of 1631m3 organic mulch as specified by SMCT to the areas proposed within STK.

2. The installation only of estimated. 144,847 plants (tubestock - standard 200cc tubestock or 93cc HIKOs). The plants will be procured and provided by SMCT to the areas specified and coordinating with contractor.

In order for the works to be completed, the project will be managed into the following order of works – Activity 1 and Activity 2. The scope of works deliverables for Project Cultivate at St Kilda Cemetery as follows:

Project Cultivate at St Kilda Cemetery – Activity 1 & 2

The successful Tenderer (if any) to liaise with SMCT staff to complete planting area coordination. SMCT and the successful Tenderer (if any) to complete the planting schedule.

The successful Tenderer (if any) is to install plants as per specified SMCT planting guide (refer to attached Contractor Guidelines in this Appendix G). Upon completion make good any mulch areas effected during the course of completing planting schedule.

Additional Requirements

1. Contractor required 5 x days per week, Monday to Friday from 7am – 3.30pm

2. The Contractor to supply;

a. Portable Toilet (if/as required)

b. Portable office (if/as required)

c. All required tools and equipment necessary to execute the activities

d. All costs associated with the above are at the Contractors expense

A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled to take place on the Tuesday 22nd of July 2025 at 10:30am. Please meet at St Kilda Cemetery, Dandenong Rd St Kilda East, main entrance gate.

Please note that failure to attend MANDATORY site visit will deem any Tender submissions void.

All questions must be submitted by 2.00pm Thursday 24th July 2025 and will be responded to no later than 2.00pm Monday 28th July 2025.

Note: Attached is a VPS Contract which needs to be reviewed as part of the submission process.
