Gippsland PHN have opened an Expression of Interest for local general practices interested in establishing an Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic (EPPC) on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DHDA).

There are currently no EPPCs in the Gippsland PHN region. On 9 February 2025, the Australian Government announced an expansion of the EPPC program over three years (2025-26 to 2027-28). The expansion will include funding for 11 new clinics, including one in the Gippsland PHN region, bringing the total number of clinics nationally to 33.

EPPCs work to improve the provision of diagnosis, treatment and management of endometriosis and pelvic pain, and the treatment and management of perimenopause and menopause symptoms.

This funding targets general practices in the Gippsland PHN region that deliver services with a focus on women’s health, including endometriosis, pelvic pain management, perimenopause and menopause.

Gippsland PHN can nominate up to two general practices through this process, and the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing will then decide which clinic is successful.

Funding of up to $256,667.00 (excluding GST) per annum over three years will be available for the successful provider following the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing’s assessment process. Gippsland PHN will then contract the provider, coordinate reporting, and manage other requirements associated with the funding.
