Provision of High Level Geographic Information Systems

The primary duties of the Geographic Information Systems Development consultant are:

• Development of strategic and operational plans;
• Policy and procedure development;
• Maintain and optimise Council's GIS data, systems, and mapping platforms.
• Develop scripts and tools to streamline processing and analysis of geographic information;
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment with relevant standards.
• Provide high level Geographic Information Systems development and research, including the creation of datasets and layers, training and support, software upgrades and integration of corporate systems
• Utilize existing service desk\Ticketing system for requests and improvement requests.
• Include Monthly activity report (summary of work completed)
• All requested work to be acknowledged and responded to within 1-2 Business days, unless of prior arranged leave notification.
• Participate in quarterly meetings to discuss GIS strategy and roadmap development, this can be via teams or in person.
