⁠⁠⁠Project goals

The objective of the WestConnex (WCX) M8 Munni Street Stormwater Channel Modification project is to deliver stormwater channel modifications at Euston Road, Alexandria, in accordance with Sydney Water’s approved design (Case No. CN203396SW). The works are required to maintain stormwater flow performance following earlier WCX M8 works. TfNSW aims to ensure successful delivery through compliance with Sydney Water's processes, structural protection of Euston Road M8 infrastructure during construction, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Scope

The Contractor is to undertake demolition, construction, and commissioning of stormwater channel modifications, including temporary works and stormwater flow management. Services include preparation of construction methodology and management plans (WHS, environment), site establishment, traffic control, temporary works, utility management, earthworks, vegetation clearing, and clean-up. The Contractor is also responsible for preparing a Minor Works REF for approval under the EP&A Act. All works must align with certified designs and meet Sydney Water and TfNSW requirements.

Additional details/instructions

A pre-tender briefing will be held on 7 July 2025 and site inspection will be held 10 am on Wednesday, 9 July 2025 at the Munni Street stormwater channel beside Euston Road. Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender. Prospective tenderers will need to complete, sign and return the confidentiality deed (in accordance with the instructions in that deed) prior to being given access the Request for Tender documents.

All tenderers must comply with the Transport Statement of Business Ethics through the procurement process and any subsequent contract period. All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework, NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct and New South Wales Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement.
