Construction of Stroud SES Facility
Tender ID: 588431
Tender Details
Tender Description
Mid-Coast Council (Council) has secured approximately $1.9 million in funding from the NSW State Government to support the development of a new State Emergency Services (SES) facility to serve the Stroud community. The driver for a new facility is driven by the fact that the current SES facility in Booral is insufficient to meet the needs of volunteers and storage of their equipment.
Council has developed plans and obtained approvals for a proposed new and modern SES facility in Stroud which will be capable of supporting the volunteers during training and operations, as well as storing all their equipment. The location for the new SES building has undergone extensive community consultation and is proposed to be constructed on a section of the unformed road reserve of Gloucester Street, immediately south of Memorial Avenue and adjacent Allen Park.
