Tender Description
The City of Charles Sturt, City of Marion and City of Port Adelaide Enfield are seeking a contractor to deliver crack sealing, rejuvenation/preservation surface treatments, minor patching works, traffic management, and line marking reinstatement.
The annual value of works is estimated to range between $200,000 and $400,000 per Council, subject to budget approvals and other priorities - equating to a minimum of $600,000 annually across all three Councils over the four-year term. Lot packages will include 10 to 30 streets per Council each financial year, depending on budget, scope, and treatment value and must be completed within the same financial year. Councils aim to award packages early in the new financial year, with works expected to be delivered during the summer period and completed by year-end, unless otherwise agreed with the Principal.
The scope includes:
• Liaison and meetings with each Participating Council.
• Works planning and programming.
• Crack seal - to Council roads and other surfaces: e.g. before rejuvenation and preservation treatments, for maintenance ad hoc programs such as car parks, sports surfaces, shared paths and the like.
• Rejuvenation and preservation treatments - to specific roadways nominated by Councils as part of their annual road maintenance programs, or as required by Councils.
• Minor patching, with associated cold planning or boxing-out – only on those roads nominated for rejuvenation and preservations treatments. Works may involve cutting existing asphalt and reinstating with 40 mm AC10 C320 at one or more failed sections, typically ranging 10m² - 20m², up to a total maximum repair area of 50 m² per street if required.
• Pavement Line marking (if required) – only on those roads that have had rejuvenation and preservation treatments.
• Traffic management associated with the above.
• Resident notification associated with the above.
• WHS documentation associated with the above.
