Tender Description
The Physical Assets Services Branch (PASB) have been successful in becoming self-accredited for SAPOL to deliver capital projects/works rather than through AGFMA/Ventia whole of government processes.
Self-accreditation provides PASB, Capital Projects Unit (CPU) with the ability to undertake construction projects through a more streamlined approach, by establishing its own prequalified list of suppliers of General Builders Civil Works. This enables CPU to then perform select Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitation to Supply (ITS) procurements rather than approaching the open market for every project.
SAPOL require suppliers that can service the South Australian metropolitan and greater Adelaide region. SAPOL are additionally seeking suppliers to deliver project works in regional locations which will include:
- Barossa, Eyre Peninsula, Far North, Fleurieu Peninsula,
- Kangaroo Island, Limestone Coast, Mid North and Yorke Peninsula.
A General Builders Civil Works prequalified list arrangement will provide SAPOL with the flexibility to engage any one of several suppliers subject to the needs and location of a specific project. Sourcing from a prequalified list will invoke a simpler secondary process to seek quotes, evaluate responses in accordance with procurement process value thresholds.
This Acquisition Plan addresses PASB’s specific requirement for General Builders Civil Works businesses to complete small to medium projects. The work will be issued on an ad-hoc basis due to projects requiring both funding and approval.
The General Builders Civil Works requirements to be provided by suppliers appointed to this prequalified list include, but are not limited to:
- Earthworks & Site Preparation
- Roads & Pavements
- Drainage & Stormwater
- Underground Services (Utilities)
- Subdivisions & Land Development
