SCOPE OF WORKS

Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the carrying out and completion of works to Whale Beach & Mona Vale Beach Rock Pools. The works include but are not limited to:

Mona Vale Beach Rockpool

• Demolition of existing finishes and removal of material from site
• New concrete stairs to pool entry along with stainless steel handrail (Item N)
• New sections of concrete coping (Item H)
• New twin 1200 mm wide x 120 mm high scuppers (Item T)
• Crack repairs to the perimeter concrete walls (Items B1 & E)
• New line marking to wading pool & stormproof signage supports (Item Q & R)
• Trial application of concrete toppings to be used for refurbishing pool surrounds (Item V) (Optional item subject to budget

Whale Beach Rockpool

• Demolition of existing finishes and removal of material from site
• Replacement of concrete steps and stainless-steel handrail (Item 1)
• New catwalk and kerb (Item 2)
• New concrete stairs (Item 3) (Optional item subject to budget)
• Patch repairs (Item 4)
• New concrete coping (Item 5)
• Replacement of topping and rebuilding of scuppers (Item 6, 7, 8 & 9)
• Supply & installation of grout fill (Item 10)
• Repairs to wall toe (Items 11)

Works may be carried out either concurrently or sequentially with all works to both rockpools are targeted for completion by 6th October 2025.
