Edith Cowan University will be undertaking an Expression of Interest (EOI) for construction & refurbishment works of Buildings 8 & 9 at our Joondalup Campus. The University will be seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor who can clearly demonstrate alignment with the project’s deliverables, overarching vision, and value-for-money outcomes. This appointment will be conducted through 2 separate Request for Tenders (RFT’s), utilising our eProcure tendering software and associated documentation.

We are planning to release these opportunities as outlined below:

Tender 1 - Building 8

Proposed Key Dates:

• Tender Release Date – Late June/Early July 2025
• Tender Close Date – Late July 2025
• Award Date – August 2025
• Construction Start Date – August 2025
• Practical Completion – April 2026

Key Information:

• Scope – Construction & refurbishment works. Excludes audiovisual & loose furniture
• Estimated Project Value ≈ $7 - $7.5mil
• Concept architectural plans . The design and documentation for the tender process are currently being finalised by our appointed Lead Architect.

Tender 2 - Building 9

Proposed Key Dates:

• Tender Release Date – September 2025
• Tender Close Date – October 2025
• Award Date – August 2025
• Construction Start Date – November 2025
• Practical Completion – May 2026

Key Information:

• Scope – Construction & refurbishment works. Excludes demolition, audiovisual & loose furniture
• Estimated Project Value ≈ $4 - $4.5mil
• Concept architectural plans attached. The design and documentation for the tender process are currently being finalised by our appointed Lead Architect.
• Demolition works will be completed by an approved contractor in advance . Dilapidation and other associated reports will be provided within the tender docs.
