Tender Description

Programmed Facility Management Pty Ltd (PFM) on behalf of the Department of Finance (DOF) and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) are seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the replacement of smoke detectors at His Majesty’s Theatre.

The Work includes but is not limited to:

  • The replacement of the existing Fire Detection Controls and Indicating Equipment (FDCIE) systems and Early Warning and Intercommunication System (EWIS)
  • Demolition and removal of the existing FDCIE, FDCIE panel, VADs, EWIS and cabling
  • Undertake full points and interface input/output download from the existing FDCIE panel to ensure all are accounted for during testing and commissioning
  • Undertake a full dilapidation report of existing FDCIE system including existing fire wire loops installed under auditorium seating and areas of works where defective items are present i.e. marks on walls, damaged ceiling tiles, damaged flooring, damaged bitumen to laydown area etc. complete with numbered images, drawings marked up referencing image numbers and descriptions of existing cabling condition. We note that this must be done thoroughly as it will be reviewed during the final defects inspection for any damage where the Contractor and their Sub-contractors have undertaken or transitioned through to complete their works. This must be submitted 2 weeks before commencing the works to the Superintendent.
  • Undertake a full dilapidation report on the existing FDCIE, including full download of data for zones, devices, pre-programmed isolations for performances etc.
  • Undertake fire wire loop cabling continuity testing
  • Engage and manage licensed Head Contractor to complete Head Contractors works associated with and required for the fire systems complete installation
  • Liaison with DFES including notifications and DBA
  • Engage Saraceni Fire Engineering Group to confirm and witness, programming, testing and commissioning to then provide compliance certification for the installation complying with the original Fire Engineered Solution for His Majesty’s Theatre

Tenderers shall make themselves familiar with the existing site conditions, the specifications, drawings and all Contract documentation.  All measurements and details shown on drawings or other documents (if any) are to be confirmed by Tenderers prior to submission of their Tender. 

All materials and installation shall be supplied and be in accordance with Australian Standards and all codes and regulations relevant to the Scope of Work contained herein.
