Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The project involves the construction of two new asphalt netball courts and associated infrastructure at the Kyneton Showgrounds, aligning with Netball Victoria standards. Works are scheduled to commence in September 2025, with completion targeted for March 2026, complementing the new netball pavilion due for completion in November 2025.

Scope Includes:

1. Site Preliminaries

Site establishment, surveys, safety fencing, and preparation of safety, environmental, and traffic management plans. Protection of adjacent infrastructure and services proving.

2. Demolition & Removal

Demolition and disposal of existing courts, light poles, netball posts, seating, a shed, and redundant sewer infrastructure. Relocation of existing container.

3. Earthworks

Bulk excavation, disposal of excess spoil, and placement/compaction of structural fill.

4. Court Pavement

Construction of court pavement including subgrade prep, crushed rock layers, prime sealing, and asphalt surfacing.

5. Concrete Works

Formwork and pouring of footpaths, edge strips, drainage, slabs for shelters, and DDA-compliant parking bay.

6. Drainage

Installation of pits, subsurface drainage, stormwater pipes, and connection to existing infrastructure.

7. Fixtures & Amenities

Installation of:

Netball goal posts and line marking
Court perimeter fencing
Shelters (2 player, 1 scorer), benches (4), and drinking station
Reinstatement of surrounding gravel paths and turf areas
Electrical & Lighting:
Supply and install LED court lighting system to 200 Lux competition standard.

8. Provisional Works

Allowance for remediation of unsuitable subgrade materials, subject to site conditions.

9. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

All works must comply with relevant building codes and Netball Victoria guidelines. Quality control procedures will be enforced throughout to ensure delivery of a fit-for-purpose and high-quality facility.
