Tender Description
Mildura Rural City Council is seeking tenders responses from suitably qualified individuals and organisations to provide their expertise in addressing the deteriorating shoulder conditions on Benetook Avenue from Sixteenth Street to Nineteenth Street.
ENQUIRIES: Any tender enquiries should be directed to the online forum.
INSPECTION: A site inspection is scheduled for 09.00am on Monday 23 June 2025. Inspections are highly recommended but not mandatory.
SUBMISSIONS: Completed responses can ONLY be submitted electronically by uploading into the System. Respondents will receive a confirmation email response upon completion. Should assistance be required please use the help function or the online chat available from the home page.
Submissions must be fully received by the closing time as late submissions will not be accepted. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. All responses must be made by online submission. Any response made by any other means (open email, facsimile, post or in person) will not be considered.
The following activities are included in the scope of works for the contractor:
1). Shoulder Works:
Restoration of Shoulder Condition: Excavation, grading, and preparation of the road shoulder to eliminate the edge break at the edge of the seal.
Material Placement and Compaction: The contractor will place and compact the material for the shoulder rehabilitation.
For 16th to 17th St: Two layers of 150mm material (total 300mm) will be required. Each layer must be compacted to the required density before placing the subsequent layer.
For 17th to Dow Ave and Dow Ave to Nineteenth St: One layer of 150mm material will be placed and compacted to the required specifications.
Drainage and Surface Preparation: Ensuring that the shoulder material is properly drained and aligned with the rest of the road structure. This may involve grading the shoulder to the correct slope to facilitate water runoff and prevent pooling.
2). Traffic Management: Provision of traffic management plans and aftercare service as per the relevant Australian Standards.
3). Coordination with utility service providers.
4). Quality Control and Inspection.
5). Site restoration and cleanup.
Please note: Line Marking and Sealing works are out of scope of this procurement. These will be conducted by MRCC in house (coordination with MRCC is required for this).
