Tender Description

The Fraser Campgrounds are located in the Eildon National Park and include Lakeside, Candlebark and Devil Cove campgrounds, and the Herb Fitzroy Day Visitor area.

The campgrounds and day visitor area are adjacent to the shore of Lake Eildon on Coller Bay and include existing amenities blocks and designated camping areas.

Project Scope

The Campground and Toilet update Scope of Works (SOW) for each campground is detailed below.

Separable Portion 1

Lakeside Campground

  • Demolition and removal of the existing amenities block including but not limited to any identified hazardous materials and decommissioning, pump out and removal of the existing brick / concrete septic tank. Existing dispersal lines can be capped and left in situ.
  • Construction of a new 6 cubicles amenities block including but not limited 10,000 litre sealed vault tank, and decommissioning and relocation of existing water tanks.
  • Arrange for Geotechnical soil testing / assessment to determine appropriate footing design.
  • Arrange for footing design to comply with all necessary regulations and standards.
  • Any other relevant works as specified in the drawings.

Candlebark Campground

  • Demolition and removal of the existing amenities block including but not limited to any identified hazardous materials and decommissioning, pump out and removal of the existing brick / concrete septic tank. Existing dispersal lines can be capped and left in situ.
  • Construction of a new 6 cubicles amenities block including but not limited to 10,000 litre sealed vault tank, and decommissioning and relocation of existing water tanks.
  • Arrange for Geotechnical soil testing / assessment to determine appropriate footing design.
  • Arrange for footing design to comply with all necessary regulations and standards.
  • Demolition and removal of the existing shelter including legal waste disposal off site
  • Construction a new outdoor education shelter at a location nearby.
  • Any other relevant works as specified in the drawings.

Devil Cove Campground

  • Demolition and removal of the existing amenities block including but not limited to any identified hazardous materials and decommissioning, pump out and removal of the existing brick / concrete septic tank. Existing dispersal lines can be capped and left in situ.
  • Construction of a new 6 cubicles amenities block including but not limited to 10,000 litre sealed vault tank and pedestrian access as per the drawings, and decommissioning and relocation of existing water tanks.
  • Arrange for Geotechnical soil testing / assessment to determine appropriate footing design.
  • Arrange for footing design to comply with all necessary regulations and standards.
  • Any other relevant works as specified in the drawings.

Separable Portion 2

Lakeside Campground

  • Removal of existing fencing, vegetation and internal campground tracks.
  • Construction of new internal campground roads, pedestrian path and drainage as per the drawings.
  • Provision of new campground layout including but not limited to new fencing and signage as per the drawings.
  • Any other relevant works as specified in the drawings.

Separable Portion 3

Herb Fitzroy Day Visitor Area and Boat Ramp Car Park

  • Demolition and removal of the existing amenities block including but not limited to any identified hazardous materials and decommissioning, pump out and removal of the existing brick / concrete septic tank. Existing dispersal lines can be capped and left in situ.
  • Construction of a new 2 cubicles amenities block including but not limited 5,000 litre sealed vault tank, and decommissioning and relocation of existing water tanks.
  • Arrange for Geotechnical soil testing / assessment to determine appropriate footing design.
  • Arrange for footing design to comply with all necessary regulations and standards.
  • Decommissioning and relocation of water tank to an alternative location as specified.
  • Any other relevant works as specified in the drawings.
