The objective of this project to construct a replacement water main on a new alignment, to reduce the risk of failure in the existing main. This project will also upgrade the pipe size to cater to future growth, and increase network resilience. The proposed works include installation of new DN375mm (OD450), HDPE PE100, PN16 water main. The existing DN225mm (OD315) pipeline being retained is proposed to remain in place, to be used as a contingency asset.

The Scope of works includes but is not limited to construction of 585lin.m total length of DN450, PE100, PN16 HDPE water pipe:

- 425 meters of installation by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) below the surface across the North Arm waterway between Marine Parade and Seaview Parade, with a ~50 m change in elevation

- 160 meters of predominantly open-cut/trenchless installation to connect drilling exit/entry points to the existing water main at Marine Parade and Seaview Parade, including a 35m HDD under an existing tree in Marine Parade Reserve (Tenderers may propose to use HDD in lieu of open trench installation)
