Tender Details
Tender Description
On 1 July 2023, it was announced that the Councils of the University of University of Adelaide (UoA) and South Australia (UniSA) had agreed to support the South Australian Government to take the legal and legislative steps for the creation of a new university, to be named Adelaide University, by combining these two current universities.
On March 2024, the new Adelaide University has been formally established under the Adelaide University Act 2023, along with appointment of the Adelaide University Transition Council and approval of the Terms of Reference for a Transitional Academic Board. The transition to a separate, new entity, will be progressed to ensure that Adelaide University is fully operational in January 2026. UoA and UniSA will continue to operate independently within their obligations under various regulatory and legislative requirements, including competition law, while dedicating the necessary resources, time and commitment to the design and construction of the new Adelaide University.
ABOUT THE RFQ
The scale of Adelaide University will offer students a wide range of learning opportunities through a world-class institution. The transition carries a level of scale, complexity, and opportunity that is unique in the Australian sector.
