The township of Mansfield, known for its beautiful scenery, experiences significant population influxes during both summer and winter due to tourism, which adds to the parking challenges. Additionally, the town centre sees an increase in vehicles such as caravans, boats, and trailers, further complicating the parking situation.

The strategy will need to assess existing parking conditions, current and future parking demands, identify areas for improvement, provide recommendations on whether the existing design standards are reasonable, and recommend effective solutions to better manage parking demand. This includes addressing the needs of various vehicle types (particularly considering the size of vehicles in Mansfield), improving traffic flow, and considering long-term growth in the township. Ultimately, the goal is to understand the parking and signage needs for the township and provide solutions to improve them considering time restrictions, signage recommendations, disabled parking and loading areas, long vehicle consideration, larger vehicle considerations, bus stops, bike racks, vehicle flow based on parking spaces.
