The Shire of Augusta Margaret River invites applications from parties interested in joining a panel of pre-qualified suppliers to provide horticultural works throughout the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, on land under the care and control of the Principal.

The Principal has its own workforce and resources to undertake horticultural works throughout the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, on land under the care and control of the Principal (e.g. at Shire buildings, reserves, parks, gardens and other Principal-managed public open spaces, etc.).

Notwithstanding, during times of high workload, non-recurrent project-related work, seasonal work loads such as fire mitigation, sub-division hand overs and staff shortages the Principal requires the services of a suitably experienced, qualified and resourced contractors to assist with horticultural works on an as-required basis.

The Contractor shall undertake all necessary services within the timeframes set out by the Principal on an "as required" basis. It is not expected that the Contractor is able to perform all of the below works. When making a submission, the Contractor must indicate which services they are able to provide.

• Premium Public Open Space and Garden Maintenance;
• Minor pruning (limited to works not classed as arboricultural tree maintenance);
• General gardening & weeding;

A leading hand or supervisor must be present at all times with a recognised Horticultural qualification or a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the horticulture industry.

Additional labour utilised must have some experience in the horticulture industry.

• Fertiliser and herbicide application to turfed areas and gardens.
• Bulk Garden Maintenance:
• Mulching
• Minor localised weed control as part of and in preparation of planting etc
• General Planting
• Importing soft fall material during construction, replacing and topping up of soft fall material
• Lawn topdressing Pruning
• Fertilising
• Tube stock planting (e.g. including augering holes, root ball teasing, installing protective sleeves, guards and stakes, applying fertiliser/ soil conditioner, watering in of plants, etc.)

Fire Mitigation:

• Fire Buffer Clearing
• Stick picking
• Chain saw operation
• Leaf /bark debris buildup and removal
• Mechanical Vegetation Management:
• Scheduled Whipper Snipping, and brush cutting
• Rough area lawn mowing

Lawn Mowing services (including whipper snipping edging, trimming, path clearing, leaf blowing):
