Tenders are invited for the construction of a bespoke rock and concrete-lined fishway within Petrie Creek, immediately downstream of Quota Park Weir in Quota Park, Nambour. Works include concrete modifications to the existing weir and construction of the fish passage way. The fishway will pass directly under two bridges. Pedestrian access through the park and across one of the new downstream bridges is to be maintained at all times.

All rock, including large boulders and graded rock mixes, shall be provided by Council’s Dulong Quarry at no cost to the successful contractor. The Contractor will be required to provide all other materials, plant, and labour to perform all necessary operations of whatever kind, to ensure delivery of the scope of works associated with this Contract.

Technical oversight and onsite support will be provided by fish passage specialists Catchment Solutions on behalf of Council, including boulder selection and approval of graded mixes, boulder placement, and concrete lining of the fishway.

This is a lump sum contract with an anticipated commencement date of 1 August 2025 and a preferred functional completion date of 31 October 2025. Due to restrictions on working within the waterway, completion must be achieved prior to 1 December 2025 to not impacting the fish migration season.
