Tender Description
The intent of this procurement process is to establish a panel of suitably qualified and experienced suppliers of specialised equipment and services for use by state and local government agencies in supporting community response and recovery from large-scale disasters that exceed usual resources. It focuses on mitigating impacts and reducing long-term consequences of various triggering events. The development of the panel is an initiative funded under the Australian Government Disaster Ready Fund.
This panel will include scoped and costed providers who can be immediately selected by state and local agencies when existing resources or arrangements are insufficient. The service on the panel has been identified through a comprehensive multi-agency needs assessment process.
It is intended the panel will enable selected agencies to quickly engage suppliers with clearly defined services, contractual conditions, and agreed costs. It ensures a timely community response, offers value for money, and maintains transparency in the procurement process.
This panel is the first of three panels intending to be competitively tendered by the Department of State Growth and captures the following categories:
- Crane Hire and Operators
- High Output Generators
- Dewatering Pumps
- Waste Management
