Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠This Request for Tenders is an invitation to submit a Tender in response to the Nelson Hospital Heating System Upgrade – Wahi Oranga and Inpatients DHW Heatpumps contract opportunity.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Nelson Marlborough is sourcing a Main Contractor to upgrade the heating systems in two buildings for Nelson Hospital, with overall construction intended to finish in 4Q 2025.

The upgrades will focus on removing the systems from the central steam boiler and providing alternative local heat pump systems.

Contractors will be working within a live hospital environment and will need robust methodologies and programmes to effectively manage the requirements and constraints that this creates.

The anticipated dates are:

  • Main Works Construction Start | August 2025
  • Main Works Completion | Q4 2025

MANDATORY SITE VISIT

It is a pre-condition of this RFT that suppliers must attend a site visit. The site visit will take place on Friday, 23 May 2025. Two time slots are available. Please register your attendance (limited numbers) by emailing the Point of Contact on or before Thursday, 22 May 2025.
