As announced on 1 July 2023, the Councils of the University of Adelaide (UoA) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) have entered into a formal agreement to work together to support the State Government in the creation of a new leading contemporary and comprehensive university of global standing.

The scale of Adelaide University will offer students a wide range of learning opportunities through a world-class institution. The transition carries a level of scale, complexity, and opportunity that is unique in the Australian sector.

ABOUT THE RFT

The intention of this RFT is for the University of Adelaide, under its existing ABN, to enter an electricity contract for its small market sites (expiring 30 June 2025). This contract will then be transferred to Adelaide University on merger. Following on from this, the remaining small market sites currently belonging to the University of South Australia will be rolled into the Adelaide University contract on 1 June 2026.

SUBMISSIONS

Completed responses must be submitted via the electronic tender box on the Tendering portal. Tenderers will receive a Successful Submission Receipt, timed and dated upon completion. 

CLOSING DATE AND TIME

The RFT will close at 5.00 pm ACST on Monday, 26th May 2025, and submissions must be fully received by this time. The University is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender, or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful tenderer as it sees fit.

Staff of the University are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender.

Late, verbal, or emailed tenders will not be accepted.
