This Request for Information is issued jointly by Hamilton City Council and Waikato District Council.

The purpose of this market sounding is to help the Councils have early engagement with interested suppliers; to gather information about water metering solutions, network providers, supplier capability and capacity, implementation approaches and indicative costs. Our goal is to explore a variety of models for this service; from buy-build-own, to lease, or full 'as a service'.

The key outcomes from this research stage will be to inform us of available metering products and supporting technology, networks and indicative costings.

The objective of a metering programme would be to encourage sustainable use now and for future generations.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to help positively shape community perceptions around water use, and the sustainable management of water, within the Waikato region.
