PROJECT BRIEF

East Gippsland Shire Council is seeking quotations from appropriately qualified consultants for the design of Stage 1A of the Eagle Point Foreshore Trail.

The shared path was identified as being a key priority from the Eagle Point Structure Plan. Once complete this facility will significantly change the landscape for the Eagle Point community. The locality and context of the proposed shared path for Eagle Point Foreshore is provided in Attachment 3 Eagle Point Shared Trail, Concept Plan, November 2023. The extent of Stage 1A is shown in Attachment 4 Eagle Point Foreshore Trail Aerial Photo.

This project is to be undertaken in conjunction with a Project Reference Group which will be made up of key stakeholders.

Development of the shared path on the Eagle Point Foreshore consists of the following:

• Concrete pavement shared pathway designed to meet relevant Australian Standards
• Elevated boardwalk Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (or Plastic) (FRP) with a viewing area incorporating seating.
• Ancillary seawall / lake edge treatments
• Ancillary landscape reinstatement works, including grassing and revegetation.
• Ancillary drainage works associated with the new construction.

This project is to be designed in its entirety ensuring that all finished surface levels (and any inground services) transition neatly with the proposed trail and all relevant accessibility standards are implemented to allow participation for all Victorian State Government legislative and policy guidelines.

Late or manual submissions will not be accepted. Contractors are to ensure sufficient time is allowed for upload.

• Landscape design including wayfinding signage and planting design
• Civil engineering design
• Structural engineering design
• Accessibility audit / design
• Quantity surveyor services
