Tender Description

The City of Greater Geelong (The City) is seeking to engage a suitably qualified contractor to carry out Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) Assets Renewal and Upgrade Projects

SCOPE OF WORKS

This contract includes all works outlined in this Specification, associated plans, and maintenance necessary for the proper completion of the works detailed.

Please refer to the schedule of works for items. The contractor should make allowance for any additional items they require to complete the works on the second tab of the schedule of works.

The works to be executed consist of, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

Preparation of a site-specific Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for each project, that will need to be submitted to the City’s Environmental Unit via the Superintendent for approval prior to commencement of any works. The EMP is to address all relevant safety and environmental management considerations as outlined in the EMP section of this specification and the Erosion and Sediment Control section on the plans in accordance with all documents and relevant regulations & standards.

The general scope of works is outlined, but not necessarily limited to, the below:

  • Dilapidation report photos pre-construction provided to the Superintendent to provide evidence of site conditions prior to commencement of works.
  • Set-out of works and site preparation works by a licenced surveyor.
  • Provide and install Works Signage & site security in accordance with WorkSafe requirements and all other regulations.
  • Construction and maintenance of any required temporary access to support works.
  • Proving any existing services in the vicinity of the works as required.
  • Temporary site fencing for the duration of works and defects period.
  • Allow any required traffic management for all works.
  • Deliver all requirements outlined in each sub-project documentation package.
  • Construction sequence as outlined on the plans, including testing and removal of old filter media.
  • Ordering, securing, testing and transport of new filter media (as outlined on the plans).
  • Pre and post construction survey by a licenced surveyor
  • Supply, set-out and installation of plants (as outlined on the plans).
  • Site reinstatement to pre-existing condition.
  • 4 weeks Landscape Maintenance of the completed works including 12 month Defect Liability Period for civil & infrastructure. At a minimum maintenance is required monthly in accordance with Appendix A (Maintenance Requirements). Completed site maintenance forms are required each month as provided in Appendix B (Maintenance Form).
