DPS is seeking a System Integrator to undertake a range of activities to ensure the Riedel hardware (hardware also included as part of this procurement), is implemented and working as intended and according to the high-level design supplied. The Riedel hardware is an extension of an already existing architecture that is currently supporting the broadcast of Parliament.

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) provides services and products to support the functioning of the Australian Parliament, and the work of parliamentarians. Working in collaboration with the Department of the Senate (DoS) and the Department of the House of Representatives (DHR), DPS provides, or facilitates the following:

• library and research services

• information and communication technology services

• security services

• building, ground and design integrity services

• audio visual and Hansard services

• art services

• visitor services

• food and beverage services

• retail, health, banking, and childcare services, and

• corporate, administrative and strategic services for DPS

The purpose of this document is to detail requirements regarding the Serial Digital Interface (SDI) to Internet Protocol (IP) Backbone (Riedel Solution) procurement, as part of the IP Backbone project, within Australian Parliament House.
