The Council is looking to establish a panel for suction truck operators

1 Adverse events

Members of the Panel will be contacted prior to or during an adverse weather event to ascertain their availability to assist with pumping out sewerage and stormwater manholes and wet-wells. The panelists will then provide trucks and operators as agreed, to manage and monitor the agreed sites, for the agreed time.

2. Business as usual

The council also requires suction trucks for pipe-clearing, wet-well cleaning and hydro-excavation. Sometimes this is for planned works and sometimes for reactive work.

Members of the Panel will be contacted to ascertain their availability. When the work is planned in advance, then as much notice will be given as possible. However, where the work is reactive, then the request may come at any time
