The Contract calls for general maintenance and upkeep of Arno Bay. It is not expected that this will require full time involvement. General maintenance covers areas such as leaking taps, cleaning of BBQ’s and maintaining the shelters and seating. Upkeep of the town involves keeping parks watered and mowed, flower beds maintained, large reserve areas mowed and footways mowed and weeds sprayed as required.

The period of this contract is for 36 months commencing 1st July 2025 and conclusion is the 30th June 2028.

General Town Maintenance

 Contractor is to do a daily visual check of the defibrillator situated at the toilets in Turnbull Park and monthly physical check.

 Ensure all street furniture (seating, tables, and BBQ’s) are serviceable and clean.

 All taps are leak free and waterlines are free from leaks. Repair as required.

 Minor maintenance of shelters.

 Periodic check of the jetty for loose planks, steps and railing. Check lights for outage.

Items under this dot point are to be reported to Council who will organize appropriate repairs.

 The town reserve along Cairo Tce is to be mowed as required. Caution required as there are exposed water lines for drippers.

Town Upkeep

 Water and Mow as required the following areas;

o Turnbull Park

   o Ensure sub surface irrigation is functioning

   o Any fertilizing will need to be watered in

   o Garden beds free of weeds and kept mulched

   o BBQ’s cleaned regularly and more often during holiday periods.

   o Playground Softfall to be inspected weekly and any damage reported to Council

   o Playground equipment inspected weekly and any damage reported to Council

   o Playground jumping pillow and softfall inspected daily

   o Any damage to any park infrastructure is to be reported to Council as soon as possible

o Centenary Park

o IGA Median Strip

o Dolphin Rose Garden and reserve

 Prune trees, shrubs and roses.

 Fertilize lawns and roses bed as required in the above mentioned areas.

 Prune street trees and shrubs so as to provide adequate vision at corners and driveways.

 Mow all footpath areas

 Spray weeds as required in all areas including Cemetery

 Inspect and attend to Arno Bay CWMS Pump Station when requested
