Peer Review for the Electrification of WaterMarc and 1 Flintoff
Tender ID: 583022
Tender Details
Tender Description
To achieve Banyule City Council’s net zero emission 2028 target, all gas equipment is required to be electrified to phase out greenhouse gases due to gas use. WaterMarc and 1 Flintoff collectively corresponds to 74 percent of total gas (and emissions from gas) for Council operated buildings. This project is for the design to upgrade WaterMarc and 1 Flintoff as a combined electrified precinct.
Banyule City Council has shortlisted five (5) Design Consultants to prepare design proposals for the upgrade of WaterMarc and 1 Flintoff as a combined electrified precinct. The project will establish WaterMarc and 1 Flintoff as a combined and electrified thermal precinct. This will transition pool heating, internal space heating and hot water services to electric, with no gas provision required at this site following implementation of this project.
Council is looking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to peer review each of the five design proposals, peer review the subsequent detailed design and provide assistance during the construction stage as required. The selected Consultant must have relevant experience with electrification projects on aquatic centres. They must also not be associated with any consultants completing the Electrification proposals or any contractors who may undertake the construction.
